Estancia Rincón del Socorro is one of Argentina's most exclusive nature destinations, set in the heart of the Esteros del Iberá in Corrientes province. Access is exclusively by air to its private runway: no comparable overland alternative exists in time or comfort. For the discerning traveller seeking uncompromising nature, this is a world-class destination reachable from Buenos Aires in under two hours by private flight.
The Iberá wetlands are among the planet's largest and Argentina's greatest freshwater reserve. Rincón del Socorro is known as a pioneer in reintroducing native fauna: jaguars, tapirs, peccaries, giant anteaters and marsh deer coexist on a private reserve of tens of thousands of hectares. Wildlife viewing by boat or horseback, fly-fishing in pristine lagoons, sunsets over the esteros and absolute silence compose an experience unmatched on the continent.
The estancia offers luxury lodge accommodation with individual cabins in a natural setting, author cuisine with regional products and guides specialised in Corrientes flora and fauna. Capacity is intentionally limited to preserve exclusivity and experience quality.
Iberá lodge gastronomy blends Corrientes tradition —slow-roast asado and ribs, starch chipá, reviro and field stews— with contemporary cooking using native fish such as dorado, surubí and pacú with modern techniques. Wines from northern Argentina and the NEA pair naturally with a table celebrating local product.
Rincón del Socorro has a private aviation runway with no scheduled commercial service. A private flight from San Fernando (FDO) covers the distance in approximately 1 h 25 min by executive turboprop or somewhat longer in piston aircraft, connecting Buenos Aires directly to the estate without intermediate transfers. For a destination whose value lies in privacy and total disconnection, private flight is not an optional luxury: it is part of the experience.
The Iberá wetlands can be visited year-round, though the dry season from April to October is preferred for wildlife viewing: animals concentrate by the lagoons, heat is tolerable and estate roads are in better condition. July and August are coolest and favour long horseback rides. The wet season (November–March) raises water levels and allows boat access to remote areas inaccessible in dry conditions.
