Miramar is the resort of the Buenos Aires bourgeoisie who chose rest over spectacle. 45 kilometers south of Mar del Plata and about 425 kilometers from Buenos Aires, the city offers well-organized beaches, a consolidated spa system and a human scale that protects it from the noise of the most massive destinations. Its most unique asset is the Florentino Ameghino Dunícola Nursery: a unique coastal forest in the province of Buenos Aires, with its own microclimate, which grows meters from the Atlantic.
Florentino Ameghino Duniculture Nursery — More than 650 hectares of coastal forest planted on dunes at the beginning of the 20th century, with trails, wildlife and an atmosphere of unique plant density just a few meters from the sea; one of the most memorable visits on the Buenos Aires coast.
Laguna de los Padres Mirror of fresh water 15 kilometers from Miramar, surrounded by ranches and rural properties; Polo and horse riding circuit for those who extend their stay inland.
Craft fair and fishing pier — The dock is the meeting point of the local community and the place where you can attend the arrival of boats with fresh catch; The craft fair on the boulevard completes the cultural proposal.
Miramar Golf Club — Golf course with sea views, frequented by tourists with the highest purchasing power in the region.
He Provincial Hotel It is the classic reference for accommodation in Miramar, with a privileged position facing the sea. The nursery area and the forest edge concentrate an offer of houses and premium rental properties that allow a stay with greater privacy and integration into the natural environment.
Miramar's gastronomy prioritizes local products: sea fish, shellfish and recipes from Buenos Aires coastal cuisine. The restaurants on the promenade offer simple, quality cuisine, with an emphasis on fresh sole and hake. The proposal does not compete with the great gastronomic destinations of the country, but maintains a consistent level that accompanies well the calm profile of the destination.
The distance from Buenos Aires is approximately 425 km. The closest option with relevant airport infrastructure is the Mar del Plata Airport (MDQ), 45 km from Miramar, with private flights that complete the journey in about 50 minutes. Direct commercial service is practically non-existent. Flying privately eliminates four to five hours of travel time in season and allows you to coordinate your ground transfer from MDQ with complete flexibility.
The high season is concentrated between December and March, with January being the busiest month. The nursery and lagoon can be visited throughout the year, and autumn offers pleasant temperature conditions for those looking for a destination outside of the summer peak.
