Private flights to Malvinas Islands

The Malvinas Islands are a South Atlantic archipelago about 2,100 km from Buenos Aires, with sub-Antarctic ecosystems and low human density: penguin colonies, elephant seals, fur seals and albatrosses in little-altered habitats. Stanley is the capital; Mount Pleasant (MPN) concentrates air access.

Why fly private

Mount Pleasant Airport (MPN / EGYP), 60 km from Puerto Argentino (Stanley), is not a routine charter: it requires island permits, PPR and prior ANAC authorisation. The only scheduled civil flight is LATAM Santiago–Punta Arenas–Mount Pleasant (weekly, with a monthly stop in Río Gallegos). There is no regular commercial passenger service from the United Kingdom.

Best time to visit

Southern summer (November–March): long days, breeding wildlife and more stable conditions. Gentoo and Magellanic penguins in colony October to February. Trout fishing September to April.
