Pinamar is the most exclusive Atlantic resort of the Buenos Aires upper class: a forest city designed in 1941 by architect Jorge Bunge, with radial streets between pine forests that lead to pristine beaches, and a social scene that concentrates the wealthiest families in Buenos Aires during January and February. It is the summer reference point for successive generations of Buenos Aires society.
The Border — the most exclusive spa in Pinamar, with private cabins and first-class service.
Divisadero — Fashionable beach club for the most select crowd of Cariló and Pinamar.
Cariló the most reserved alternative: without commercial signs, with private stays in the forest and absolute tranquility.
Horse riding and polo horseback riding among pine forests and games at the El Trébol Club.
Kitesurfing and windsurfing — top-level Atlantic conditions for high-performance water sports.
Forest Hotel — Pinamar's flagship boutique hotel, integrated into the pine forest. Marittimo Cariló Author boutique in the heart of Cariló. The most distinguished clientele opts for private villas with three to six bedrooms in Zone F or Cariló, the standard for this segment.
Maritimo Restaurant for the best seafood in Pinamar; Parador La Frontera for lunch facing the sea; Bay in Cariló for dinner among pine trees. Tío Colacho's artisanal alfajores have been the local reference for decades.
About 360 km from Buenos Aires, the flight takes approximately 40 minutes. The closest aerodrome is Villa Gesell (VLG), which also serves Pinamar and Cariló; Pinamar also has its own grass track. At the peak of January, the route becomes a seven- or eight-hour odyssey: private aviation isn't just more comfortable, it's the only way to truly take advantage of the destination.
January–February: High season, maximum social activity. December and March: shoulders, calmer but equally pleasant. July: winter of snowy pine forest and minimal clientele, for those seeking the silence of the forest.
