Best time to visit

Harvest season (February–April) is most sought-after: harvest in view, mild temperatures and active wineries. Spring (September–November) offers flowering vines and ideal river flows for water sports. Summer is hot but dry. Winter (June–August) is cold and dry, with possible snow at altitude, ideal for cellar work and tastings.
